Yörsan, which meets the traditional Turkish white cheese with technology and industry; is the company, who has applied pastorized milk and cheese, known as cultured cheese, production for the first time in Turkey.
As a result of the irregularity of cheese trade in Turkey, and of a need for modern facilities for its production in healthy and hygienic conditions, with the was establishment of YÖRÜKLER GIDA LTD. ŞTI. in 1964, in Ankara, the foundations of Yörsan Group were laid down. Along with a purchase of a diary in 1979 in Susurluk, the construction of a diary products factory was completed and activated in 1984 and Yörsan A.Ş. has been established. In 1985 for the first time pasteurized milk production and cultured cheese production was started up.
As of 1996, Yörsan A.Ş. has opened dealerships throughout Turkey. Besides its wide product range, Yörsan is the company which has the widest product types and which holds the widest market share in the country. Alongside the domestic market, Yörsan is exporting substantial amounts and is the first white cheese brand to enter Japan. It has been exporting to a number of countries, mostly to the USA and Japan, for a long period of time.
Yörsan owns a substantial share in the diary products market in Turkey. It realizes 20-25% of the total cheese production and 10-15% of the yogurt production. The company, aiming at increasing its market share and at reaching the highest level of sales, comes nearer every day to its aim and constantly sets up new horizons for itself.
Aiming at becoming a world trademark, Yörsan is exporting milk and diary products to the USA, Japan, Kuwait, North Cyprus and to the Arabic countries. Yörsan White Cheese, Yörsan Yogurt and Yörsan Pomegranate Juice take place in the meal list of the Japanese Airlines.
